DAVID SIMMONDS
“For me, it’s not enough to just to capture what looks pretty, or a scene with beautiful light. I must go further, must encapsulate my feelings, heart and vision into each image. Oftentimes I will create abstract graphical images, other times soft and mysterious, or I take nature’s macro forms into my studio, creating beautiful images that otherwise would not be seen. “
SUE TATE
“The colours and textures of the landscape, flora and fauna of the Great Southern coastline inspire my work. Waves, cliffs and marine creatures are translated into forms created from hand dyed silk organza to become preserved beach combing collections encouraging us to treasure and protect our precious, fragile coast.”
SANDRA CURTIS
“My work explores the intersection of inner and outer landscapes. I’m inspired by the timeless, elemental natural world, and a deep personal connection to this southern landscape. Thus, creating liminal and textured images to encourage a re-imagining of our relationship and connection with the natural world.”
