Use a special piece of equipment (anemometer) to explore the secrets of wind and weather on the mighty Shipwreck Coast. Look for clues to discover where the highest wind speed and coolest temperatures will be found.
Learn to track our sneaky wildlife, investigate the special features of our local plants and solve the puzzles left by our amazing seascapes. Digital detectives will get you on your hands and knees taking photos and looking for evidence or investigating the Extreme Plants of the national park. Solve the mysteries, reveal the southern secrets and return to base!
Quick Snap Scavenger Hunt
Walk fast but think smarter to capture images and solve challenges on these digital scavenger hunts. Beware of false trails for there are tricks and challenges to solve along the way. Race against time and scramble around our town, then return to base with your collected snaps to earn your reward.
Set some time aside to look up and explore the skies with your family. First time stargazers. amateur astronomers and confident cosmologists alike can all explore the wonders of our southern skies with free rental of our 8 inch diameter Newtonian Reflector Telescope!
Pop in to the Visitor Information Centre and hire a set of binoculars to watch the penguins come home after sunset or for a close up view of this amazing coastline. Spot amazing birdlife or maybe you will see a Southern Right Whale between June and September.
